Everest Khumbu, Nepal

Khumbu region known as the Everest region is famous for High Himalaya because of Sagarmatha; the Everest and Sherpas. It is in Solukhumbu district which is combination of Solu and Khumbu and located in northern east of Nepal.br>Khumbu's elevation ranges normally touched from 3000 meters which will be 11000 feet to the highest point on the earth; the Sagarmatha-Mount Everet 8851 meters (29038 feet).
Worlds most famous and a world heritage site 'Sagarmatha National Park' is very famous with the Everest Base Camp trek, several trekking peak climbing, very spouted Himalayan lakes, highest breathtaking passes La as well as several trekking and adventure spotes available around the Khumbu and its Himalayas.

Location : North east of Kathmandu.

Getting there: Fly from Kathmandu to Phaplu/ Lukla / Syangboche or Drive from Kathamndu to Jiri (182kms).

Famous Monasteries : Junbeshi, Serlo, Thuptencholling, Namche, Thame, Tyangboche, Pangboche, Thamo, Jorsalle.

Famous Mountains: Sagarmatha /Mt.Everest (8848m.), Cho Oyu (8153m.), Makalu (8463m.), Lhotse (8516m.), Nuptse (7879m.), Ama Dablam (6856m)

Area : 7148 Sq.km.
