Nirekha Peak Climbing - 26 days
Climb Nirekha Peak, Cross Cho La Pass and Enjoy Kalapattar

Mt. Nirekha altitudes of 6186 meters; is in the Mahalangur Region, deep in the Himalayas, close to the Tibetan border and hidden among the well-known giants of Everest, Cho Oyu and Cholatse.

The climb itself is relatively straightforward, though it does require ice-axe, crampons and some fixed rope sections. It is a very do-able climb for anyone in good shape and with a desire for high adventure.

Nirekha is on Group A peak of Nepal Mountaineering Association.

Day 01 - Arrival KATHMANDU

Arrive to Kathmandu, an exciting and memorable experience with the panoramic view of snow-capped Himalayan range greets your sight.

Independent Himalayan Adventure's Airport Representative will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After arrival to hotel, Short brief and final payment procedures.

Day 02 - Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour/ Nirekha Peak permit / Equipment final preparation

Sightseeing tours of Kathmandu including Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath.
Pashupatinath Temple is One of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the world. The two storied pagoda houses a sacred lignum or the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Although the temple dates back to the 4th century, it was brought into its present shape in the early 18th century. The temple is most noted for its gold-plated roofs and silver-coated doors.
Bouddhanath Stupa is  the world's largest stupa of its kind. The unique aspect of this great Buddhist monument is that it is set in the octagonal mandala design.
After your blessingful tour, you have to final prepare your trekking and climbing equipment for Nirekha Peak, Cho La Pass and Kalapattar trek. We would obtain climbing permit and finalize all the paper works

Day 03 - Fly Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2652 m.

Day 05 - Acclimatization day- Namche Bazzar (3441 m.)

We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air. As well as a short trek where a museum is celebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. Today we hike up the Syangboche Airport around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks.

Day 06 - Trek to Dole (4200 meters)

Day 14 - High Camp to Nirekha Summit (6169m) 1st Attempt

High Camp to Nirekha Summit (6169m). It is your first attempt to summit. As much as you summit it today. If you do not, then second attempt will be tomorrow again.

Day 15 - High Camp to Nirekha Summit (6169m) 2nd Attempt

Day 16 - Cross Cho La pass (5420 meters)- descend to Dzongla (4710m.)

Today is a long trek. Better to start before sunrise at 4 or 5 am to reach the pass by 9 o 10 am. Otwerwise condition of weather will affect your journey to Chola.

Cross over altitude of 5420 meters Chola pass, could be exposed to strong winds if crossing too late. Start to climb steeply that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the high altitude and snow. It often causes terrible problems to cross the pass if it is covered by snow.

When you reach the top, you rewarded by the magnificent views, then we descend to the Dzongla.

Day 17 - Trek to Lobuche (4910 meters)

We continue trek to the wide valley beneath the impressive peaks of Cholatse and Tawache on the right and back. The path we continue to climb as we are heading to the altitude of 4910 meters in Lobuche, where from you will see your targeted Peak Mt. Pumori very well.

Day 18 - Trek to Gorakshep (5200m)

Trek from Lobuche/Lobuje to Gorakshep 5200 meters; is very interesting. You will get frontly Himalayas and following Glacier with exciting.

Day 19 - Ascent to Kalapathar (5545m)- descent Lobuche.

Very early in the morning hike up to Kalapathar (5545 meters) and back to Gorakshep for Breakfast. After some rest Trek down to Lobuche. Some of trekkers can go to Everest Base Camp 5550 meters on this day but you already viewed glimpse of Everest and other Mountains from Kalapattar; we suggest you to Lobuche/Lobuje this day.

Day 20 - Trek down to Dingboche (4350 m.)

Your trek from Lobuche to Dingboche will take your around 4 hours with enjoy.
The spectacular views of Cholatse, Tawache, Ama Dablam, Pokhalde, Thamserku, Khangtega and many more compensates you tiredness.

Day 21 - Trek down to Tyangboche (3860m)

You trek gradual descent path till Deboche and from there by walking over ascent path for twenty minutes you reach destination. This day you are utterly enchanted by the spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Everest, Thamserku, Kantega, Lobuche and so on.
Enroute you pass villages such as Pangboche and Shomare. Pangboche is a Sherpa village with monastery, yak pasture, mani walls, chortens and terraces and houses made in typical Tibetan style.
Your night stop is in the place of famous monastery of Tyangboche.

Day 22 - Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.)

The walk from Tyangboche is mostly downhill on the main busy trail with a few steep climbs for an hour from the bridge at Phungitenga, near to Shanasha. The walk to Namche (3440 meters) is very scenic on a long winding path.

Day 23 - Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m.)

The last day of your trek leads you from Namche Bazaar via Phakding, Monjo to Lukla.
The trek is pleasant, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote-Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your overnight stay.
Enjoy your Last day party with your group.

Day 24 - Fly back to Kathmandu.

Morning flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoying your last glimpse of the mountains you have recently visited for one last time on the 35 minute Scenic flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 25 - Spare/Leisure day in Kathmandu

Leisure day in Kathmandu. It's also spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla,

You may do sightseeing of Kathmandu valley including Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath stupa, Swoyambhunath Stupa, Durbar Square etc. Enjoy your local shopping in Kathmandu.

Day 26 - Departure Day

Transfer for your final flight departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
